Things To Do In Jacksonville

Minor League hockey!!!!  Not much can beat the experience of great Minor League hockey at such an affordable price for patrons, friends, and family members.  Minor League hockey provides great action at just a fraction of the cost of NHL hockey.  The Jacksonville IceMen are a Minor League hockey team member of the ECHL (East Coast Hockey league).  The IceMen play their home games at the Jacksonville War Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, FL.

Attendance at games tends to be very strong and the crowd is energetic and lively.  It’s a great way to spend an evening or weekend afternoon.  From 1992 to 2008 the IceMen were known as the Muskegon Fury.  They were then briefly called the Muskegon Lumberjacks from 2008 to 2010.  Then from 2010 to 2016 the team was known as the Evansville IceMen.  Based on the reception in Jacksonville it sure looks like the team will be the Jacksonville IceMen for quite some time.  The IceMen are affiliated with the Winnipeg Jets and Manitoba Moose.

All of the rules in Minor League hockey are essentially the same as the NHL so fans can expect a similar product.  As stated earlier the cost to attend a Jacksonville IceMen game is notably lower than that of an NHL game.  Minor League hockey is a great opportunity for new fans of hockey to experience live hockey action and for more seasoned hockey fans to get a great price on legitimate and intense hockey action.
