We’re talking about some of the best places to have your dinner after watching a game or something before a game.  Securing your tickets and travel to the park itself is one thing, but it’s always nice to have some good choices identified to eat at before you head out to Fenway Park.  Fenway Park is famous for the hot sausages it serves with peppers and onions just outside the stadium, but there are also several great restaurant choices as well.  Well, lucky for you, there are quite a few restaurants to sit down and have a bite.  If you’re not looking for a typical Big Mac or fast food, then this list is definitely good for you.  Let’s dig in!

Opened in 1969, the Cask ‘n Flagon has earned a named for itself throughout the years and solidified itself as a great part of the Fenway History.    Other than that, it was ranked the best baseball bar in the world by ESPN.  Every true Sox fan spends the entire game day at either the bar or the Fenway Park.  If you didn’t manage to grab tickets, just head on over to the Cask.  With HD screens, delicious food and an endless supply of cocktails, it’ll definitely make up for the fact that you couldn’t land tickets.  Tickets are always available for Red Sox games and other Fenway Park events at SeatsForEveryone.com.  The Cask is an all time classic situated in the absolute perfect spot.  When you visit Fenway Park and walk around you can’t miss it.  It’s at the corner of the Green Monster and all of the major activity before and after games.

Lolita Cocina & Tequila Bar

This is a bit of a walk from Fenway – probably a solid ten minutes.  It is back into the meat of the Back Bay.  However, it is well worth it and a quick T ride on the Green Line or Blue Bike or Uber.  The food here is absolutely fantastic and the ambiance is incredible.  They also give you these nice towels to clean up with and this strange but yummy cotton candy thing at the end.

The entire menu is delicious.  Veyr highly recommended.

McGreevy’s

Considered by many to be the first true sports bar in America, McGreevy’s is a swift and enjoyable five minute walk from Fenway Park.  The food and atmosphere are that of a sports pub and Irish Pub.  The menu is excellent and all of your party should be able to find something quite delicious on the menu.

McGreevy’s is also America’s first baseball museum.  The pub is lined with photos and artifacts that believe us will make any real baseball fan filled with delight and excitement.  there are some real gems inside McGreevy’s for fans to take a look at while enjoying some great food and drink before or after a Red Sox game.  In it’s very early days McGreevy’s was absolutely the place to be in Boston for ballplayers, politicians, and gamblers.  JFK’s grandfather hung out there as well as the man known for fixing the 1919 World Series.  Red Sox Nation was born at McGreevy’s long before pink hats, the 2004 breaking of the curse, Big Papi, NESN, or any of the other modern stuff we know so well.

Hojoko is another Japanese restaurant in our list. It was ranked as one of the top bars in the world. From sushi to sake, the restaurant has everything you could hope for. The elegant style of the restaurant and the way they serve their food will definitely make you come back even if it isn’t because of a Sox game.
